Pay Scale

  • Pay Scale: ₹22,000 to ₹97,000 (Pay Band-3)
  • Grade Pay: ₹9,400
  • Other Allowances: As admissible to Assam State Government employees.

Eligibility Criteria

(a) Nationality and Domicile:
Applicants must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam. As proof of residency, candidates must upload either:

  • A valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) for educational purposes, or
  • Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.

(b) Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce from any recognized university, with any one of the following subjects:

  • Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Agricultural Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Anthropology, Social Work, Business Administration, Business Management, Geography, or Commerce.

Preference will be given to Honours graduates.
(Upload all semester/year-wise marksheets and final pass certificate.)

(c) Age Limit:
Candidates should be between 21 to 38 years as on 01-01-2025. Age relaxations are applicable as follows:

  • SC/ST candidates: 5 years (up to 43 years)
  • OBC/MOBC candidates: 3 years (up to 41 years)
  • Ex-Servicemen: Up to 50 years for UR (relaxable further by 3 years for OBC/MOBC and 5 years for SC/ST)
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years irrespective of category
  • Employees serving in the T&D Department for a minimum of 5 years: Maximum 40 years

Important: Age will be verified using the Class X/Class XII Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet. No other document will be accepted.

Notes

  • PwBD Candidates
    • Even though no posts are reserved for PwBD, candidates with a minimum 40% benchmark disability can apply and will compete based on general merit. Valid disability certificates must be uploaded.
  • Government Employees
    • Candidates already working under the Government of Assam must:
      • Upload a service certificate from the competent authority.
      • Additionally, those seeking pay protection must upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
  • Ensure you meet all eligibility criteria before applying.
  • No requests for category changes will be entertained after submission.
  • Providing false information will lead to disqualification.
  • Candidates must produce original documents at the time of the interview.
  • The final result will be published on APSC’s website. No interim inquiries will be entertained.

As per Government Notification No. ABP.69/2019/17, candidates must submit a declaration in Form-A regarding adherence to the small family norms. (Upload the required document while applying.)
