Eligibility Criteria for Economics & Statistics posts
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have at least a second-class Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics from a recognized university.
Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025):
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 38 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years

Other Criteria
Citizenship:
Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Resident-ship:
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- A PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) issued in Assam for educational purposes or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate must be submitted as proof of residency along with the application form.
Small Family Norms:
Candidates must submit a declaration regarding “The Normal Family Norms” in Form-A while applying for the post.

Applicants must bring the hard copy of their online application along with the following Self-attested copies of documents/certificates. These documents should be submitted as per the instructions mentioned in the interview call letter. Failure to provide the required documents will result in disqualification from the interview process:
- Proof of Age
- Class-X/Class-XII Examination Admit Card, Pass Certificate, or Marksheet issued by a Central/State Board clearly indicating the Date of Birth.
- Educational Qualification
- Certificates and marksheets for all examinations from HSLC onwards, up to the highest level of qualification achieved.
- Degree/Diploma certificates along with marksheets for all academic years. In the absence of the final certificate, a provisional certificate with marksheets will be accepted.
- Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Issued by a competent authority for candidates claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/MOBC categories. The certificate must clearly state the Caste, the relevant Act/Order, and the village/town where the candidate resides.
- BPL Certificate (if applicable)
- Issued by the Government of Assam.
- Declaration Form-A
