Educational Qualifications:
- Drugs & Narcotics Division: M.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with specialization in the relevant subject.
- Toxicology Division: M.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with specialisation in the relevant subject.
- Biology Division: M.Sc. in Botany, Zoology, Anthropology (Physical), Biotechnology, or Forensic Science with specialization in the relevant subject.
2. Scientific Officer – Regional Forensic Science Laboratories (Silchar, Tezpur, Bongaigaon, Dibrugarh, and Jorhat)

Eligibility Criteria for Forensic Science Posts
- Citizenship:
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen and a permanent resident of Assam. - Domicile:
Valid Permanent Resident Certificate or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate must be uploaded as proof of residency. - Age Limit (as of 01-01-2025):
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum : 38 years

- Small Family Norms:
Candidates must submit a declaration regarding adherence to the “Small Family Norms” in Form-A.

Documents to be Produced at the Time of Interview
Candidates must bring the hard copy of the online application and the following original documents/certificates, along with self-attested copies, as specified in the Intimation Letter/Admit Card:
a) Class X/Class XII Admit Card, Pass Certificate, or Mark sheet clearly indicating Date of Birth.
b) Certificates and mark sheets for all examinations from HSLC onwards, up to the qualifying examination.
c) Degree/Diploma certificate with mark sheets for all academic years. Provisional certificates may be accepted with mark sheets.
d) Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC/MOBC) issued by the Government of Assam, indicating caste, Act/Order, and residence details.
e) BPL certificate issued by the Government of Assam (if applicable).
f) Declaration in Form-A related to the Assam Public Services (Small Family Norms) Rules, 2019, downloadable from the APSC Website.
g) Documentary proof for any other claims made.
