The National Testing Agency (NTA) has put out the official notice for the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) 2025. This test helps students get into Class VI and Class IX at 33 Sainik Schools across India for the 2025-2026 school year.
Sainik Schools are English medium boarding institutions that follows CBSE syllabus and operate under the Sainik Schools Society, which is a part of the Ministry of Defence. These schools have a goal to prepare students to enter the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and other officer training facilities.

Sainik School Admission Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for AISSEE 2025-2026
Class VI:
- Applicants’ age must be within 10 years to 12 years as on the date 31 March 2025. This means that they were born between 1st April 2013 and 31 March 2015 (inclusive).
- Admission is also open for girls to Class VI.
Class IX:
- Age requirement for all applicants in this category is within 13 years to 15 years as on 31 March 2025. Almost all the applicants born during the period 1st April 2010 to 31 March 2012 will fall within this criterion.
- Girls are also eligible for admission into Class 9, subject to the seats being available.
- The candidates seeking admission in Class IX should be in possession of a valid/recognized school passed Class VIII at the time of seeking the admission.
Exam Fee
Applicants for AISSEE 2025 are required to pay the application fee as mentioned below. The fee must be paid only through online mode.
- SC/ ST: Rs. 650/-
- Others: Rs 800/-
